Laser cutting

Laser cutting of steel is a well-established and increasingly popular technique within the metalworking industry that allows high precision, speed, flexibility and quality.

Rizzato has been using this technology for thirty years now, first with CO2 lasers and now exclusively with fibre lasers, which makes it possible to cut any desired shape in a fast and precise process. Parallel to laser cutting technology, Rizzato also makes use of combined punching processing.

    – It is suitable for a wide range of materials, including highly reflective metals and thicker mild steel
    – Provides reduced cycle times and increased process reliability
  4. Prima Power® LPe6f Combined (Fibre Laser/Punch) with automatic loading and unloading
    – Working range: 3000×1500
    – A modern combination machine that utilises CNC servo-electric axes to offer exceptional energy efficiency, low maintenance requirements and high operating speed. Its productivity is made possible by its large tooling capacity, a wide range of available special tools and quick and easy set-up changes.
    – As the best laser emission source for the combined machine, the fibre laser boasts very high efficiency for cutting materials up to 8 mm thick.

NIGHT TRAIN FMS

– Automatic warehouse for storing raw materials and cut parts

– Connected to 4 laser cutting machines and a combined punching and fibre laser machine

– Total length: 70 mt

– Total capacity: 1600 Tons distributed in 540 drawers

The NIGHT TRAIN FMS is a fully automated and synchronised sheet metal storage system with a capacity of 1600 Tons of storable material, which allows a potential 24/7 work continuity. It optimises material management and information flows, integrating into production processes in a flexible manner.

Thanks to the direct connection with the processing machines, Rizzato’s automated warehouse offers not only greater production continuity but also high production performance with positive effects on time, costs and quality levels, to the complete benefit of the customer.

All the cutting machinery within the factory is in continuous communication and information sharing with the CAM programming office which, using sophisticated software designed specifically for the company’s needs, and implemented with the management software, is able to guarantee very short times between the execution of the NC programme and the start of the cutting operation. Of considerable importance is the traceability of each individual batch of raw material, which, using the connection of the various machines, manages to guarantee the assignment of each cut piece to its own batch of steel taken, including the chemical and structural composition of the raw material used.
