PAINTING

Rizzato offers the possibility to have workpieces powder or liquid painted or enamelled by relying on selected and reliable partners who are able to maintain the high quality standards that distinguish Rizzato in the market.

Industrial thermosetting powder painting consists of coating the parts to be treated with a synthetic resin-based painting powder, positively charging them by subjecting them to a high-voltage electrostatic field, making them perfectly adhere to the powder that is negatively charged. The pieces thus prepared then pass to the baking phase in an oven, which will serve to fix the powder definitively, creating a compact, homogenous and adherent coating layer that has high chemical and physical resistance characteristics, both in terms of hardness and elasticity.

Industry specialists

Industrial liquid coating is a very quick and simple technique. The paint is atomised using compressed air and fired through special guns onto the workpieces, either by hand or by numerically controlled machines. Afterwards, the parts pass through a drying oven so that the paint is fixed. Epoxy, polyurethane, acrylic, single-component, two-component, solvent-based or water-based paints can be used, but in all cases, they are obviously in liquid form.
Another technique for coating metal surfaces is enamelling. The material used is enamel, an inorganic coating of a vitreous nature used for protective and decorative purposes. The process that takes place is vitrification: chemical-physical reactions develop between the two surfaces, i.e., that of the metal and that of the applied enamel, creating a new material that combines the characteristics of glass (hygiene and hardness) with those of the metal substrate (strength, formability and lightness). The material obtained after vitrification will therefore have resistance to fire and thermal shock, resistance to corrosion by acids, alkalis, organic solvents and atmospheric agents, and resistance to scratching and abrasion. The appearance of enamelled steel is very similar to that of porcelain: rich in white reflections and highly polished. Surfaces can be glossy, matt or semi-matt. This type of finish also has the characteristic of being a perfectly smooth surface that requires no special maintenance and is very easy to clean.
