Laser cutting

Laser cutting of steel is a well-established and increasingly popular technique within the metalworking industry that allows high precision, speed, flexibility and quality.

Rizzato has been using this technology for thirty years now, first with CO2 lasers and now exclusively with fibre lasers, which makes it possible to cut any desired shape in a fast and precise process. Parallel to laser cutting technology, Rizzato also makes use of combined punching processing.

  • The LST system enables automatic part separation. At Rizzato, this system is utilized to minimize manual handling, significantly reducing the risk of aesthetic defects.

  • Provides rapid piercing and high-speed cutting.

  • Compatible with a broad spectrum of materials, including reflective metals.

Prima Power® Combined Fiber Laser/Punching Machine – 3000 W (with Auto Load/Unload)

  • This modern combined system utilizes CNC servo-electric axes to deliver exceptional energy efficiency, low maintenance requirements, and high operating speeds.

  • High productivity is driven by extensive tooling capacity, specialized tool availability, and quick setup changes.

  • The integrated fiber laser source offers high efficiency for cutting materials up to 8 mm thick.

  • Working area: 3050 x 1540 mm

  • Designed for reduced piercing times and high-velocity cutting.

NIGHT TRAIN FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System)

  • Automatic storage system for raw materials and processed parts.

  • Fully integrated with 4 laser cutting machines and 1 combined punch/laser machine.

  • Total Length: 70 meters.

  • Total Capacity: 1600 tons distributed across 540 storage trays.

Prima Power® Shear Genius SG6 Punching Machine (30 Ton)

  • Equipped with integrated shear and automatic stacker.

  • Working area: 1500 x 3000 mm.

  • Punching capacity up to 24 stations.

The Night Train FMS optimizes material management and information flow, seamlessly integrating into production processes with maximum flexibility.

Through direct connection to the processing machines, Rizzato’s automated warehouse ensures production continuity and high-performance output. This results in significant improvements in lead times, costs, and quality levels for the benefit of the final client.

All cutting machinery within the facility is in constant communication with the CAM programming office. Utilizing sophisticated proprietary software integrated with the company’s ERP system, we guarantee minimal latency between NC program execution and the start of production.

Full Traceability: We maintain rigorous traceability for every batch of raw material. Our interconnected system automatically assigns the specific steel batch—including chemical composition and structural data—to every individual cut part.
